Philosophy of Care

The name Shine means so many things to me.  It was inspired by the Spanish phrase for giving birth, dar a luz.  Which translates, "to bring to light". I love that image, of a new soul and human lighting our world. A newborn makes us all shine a little brighter and brings such joy and excitement.  And for women and pregnant people, my hope is that pregnancy and postpartum can be a special time. A time where you are loved and nurtured as you nurture and love your growing baby.

I love being able to help people during pregnancy and postpartum.  Each person and baby is unique, and we will work together to come up with a plan that supports and nurtures you and your family.
